Holly Blakey Presents Cowpuncher My Ass

Choreographer Holly Blakey returned to the Southbank Centre with Cowpuncher My Ass, a large-scale dance production bringing together eight performers and the London Contemporary Orchestra. Featuring an original score by Mica Levi and costumes designed by Andreas Kronthaler for Vivienne Westwood, the work explores themes of violence, vulnerability and collective experience through Blakey's distinctive movement language.

Originally premiered in 2018, the production was revived for the Southbank Centre in 2023, reaffirming its status as one of Blakey's landmark works and bringing together contemporary dance, live orchestral performance and fashion in an ambitious interdisciplinary collaboration.
