Unquiet at Manchester International Festival

As part of the Unquiet series, Manchester Camerata and Manchester International Festival presented the world premiere of a new orchestral commission by AFRODEUTSCHE. Blending contemporary classical music with techno, house and electro, the work expanded AFRODEUTSCHE's distinctive musical language for orchestra, continuing Unquiet's mission to commission bold new work from artists working across genres.

Performed by Manchester Camerata and conducted by Robert Ames, the commission brought together three of the UK's most adventurous musical voices for a landmark performance at Manchester International Festival 2023, celebrating orchestral music as a platform for experimentation, collaboration and new ideas.
