Unquiet with Carmen Villain

As part of the Unquiet series, Manchester Camerata and NewForm Music commissioned and toured the world premiere of a new orchestral work by Carmen Villain. Developed in collaboration with Robert Ames, the project expanded Villain's distinctive blend of ambient electronics and experimental composition for ensemble, bringing her music to audiences across the UK.

Alongside Villain's new commission, the programme featured music by Bryce Dessner, Hildur Guðnadóttir, Philip Glass and Mica Levi, reflecting Unquiet's commitment to connecting contemporary classical music with artists working across electronic, experimental and alternative musical traditions. The tour also featured live performances by Carmen Villain with the Manchester Camerata Ensemble and CARBS, the collaborative project of Robert Ames and Ben Corrigan.
