Hannah Peel's critically acclaimed album Fir Wave was shortlisted for the 2021 Mercury Prize, recognising one of the year's most innovative and ambitious recordings. Inspired by the pioneering electronic music of Delia Derbyshire and the BBC Radiophonic Workshop, Peel reinterpreted material from the KPM 1000 library catalogue to create an expansive new work exploring ecology, natural cycles and the evolving relationship between analogue and digital sound.

Combining newly developed electronic instruments with archival source material, Fir Wave reflects Peel's distinctive approach to composition, weaving together experimental electronics and organic processes into a richly immersive listening experience.
